Default Quick Question for a Newbie

Just wondering how you guys get around actually lookin at players stats? I mean, do you have to solely rely on your scouts to find players? What if you're playing a team, one of their players gets man of the match, seems to be everywhere, are you allowed to just click on him and have a look? :S

This whole LLM idea sounds really good but after reading the guidelines I still don't feel I quite understand how the whole thing works. Can anybody help me out?

I solely rely on my scouts and am sure many other LLaMa's do although some do use the player search screen and this has become a hotly debated subject since the dawn of time...

Welcome oglop44
Yes I look at the stats, but I will only look at the stats of players my scout has found.

If a player gets man of the match against you there is no problem having a look at his stats, obviously if you want to persue it further then have your scout take a look at him in subsequent games.

player search screen
There is no debate, don't use it.

No debate IMO. Player search + LLM = no-no. No exceptions. Player search = No LLM. LLM = No player search.

Same here do not use it, although as I said some people playing the LLM way consider it just about acceptable and it is hotly debated, agree?

I personly have never seen the issue about using the player search screen be debated other than by idiots intent on a wind up.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the use of the Player Search screen always being anti-LLM?

The Search Screen.

Some LLaMa’s use the search screen to shortlist players in their area and then send off their scouts to find out how good a player he really is. Other more zealous LLaMas avoid this screen entirely letting their scout do the job for which he was hired ie: finding players. Signing “known” players is a big no no. Known players are ones that are known to you through outside influences, or have been signed and performed well for you in previous games of CM. Regardless of what you tendency is with the Search Screen, no player should ever be signed unless he is first given the once over by one of your scouts.

Fair enough, I wouldn't say its hotly debated though as this is the first time I've ever seen it even discussed. I stick to my view, regardless of that guideline. Player search = no-no.
