Hi, i have just taken Salisbury into league 2 through the playoffs but whilst i am making more money and all i am still a part time club. How do i convert this into a full time club apart from offering everyone full time contracts. As even if i do that the youth team come through on part time contracts and i am still called "part timers salisbury".
As far as I am aware you become a full time club when finances are stable enough in the view of the board to successfully pay everyone full time contracts and can compete without getting relegated and putting yourself into financial danger
My Newport County club in my current 07 save got professional status after three seasons in the Conference. Finances were good, and the club was contending for promotion by then, so it seemed to make sense. It may also have to do with how tight the chairman is- since we can't see any stats for them, it's hard to know, and I don't think there is an 'arse" command that works anymore.
I think its highly bizarre that the team does not go full time on reaching the football league
In my current save as my beloved Billericay I went full time after three seasons in the conference two of last day survival then the third season finishing top half
Also as Salisbury are one of the best supported non legaue sides with an average of over 1,000 in the conference south last season and with a chairmen in irl preprepared to spend as I think they have few full timers
In my save at Billericay, I joined them in Conference South and they were already professional.
It's completely a board decision, but there's more than just staff on full time contracts to consider, there's other things like higher overheads, more tax to be paid etc.
with my cambridge city team even though the club is part time i offered full time contracts to most of my players especially the defenders and strikers. I just kept within the wage budget and im doing fine. well soo far
