So I just started a new save with Salisbury, and I decided this time to try and get stuck into the tactics a bit more. So I have begun watching the full matches to see what is doing what, etc. A couple of friendlies in against some rubbish Welsh sides, and watching the full match is gruesome. Having never really watched matches in their entirety, I was surprised to see how ugly the games are on the pitch at this level. Fouls galore, hoof balls sailing into the stands, terrible decision making with passes, and on and on it goes. It's kind of fun, actually
Awww, it's not so bad. With the highlight slider about midway between normal and ighest, it moves pretty fast, but is slow enough to see what's happening. The matches don't tkae too much longer to complete than if you use extensive highlights, which is my normal setting.
It is agonizing though, but alleviated by just how bad the other sides can be at the same time. I probably wont do this all season, I can see how it would get old fast, but I can't really think of any other way to get to grips with the effects of some of the tactical options and sliders.

Mmm, I always wondered what type of person would watch a full match.

try a guy on summer holiday in a place where it's too hot to go outside when the sun is up, and who furthermore has no life, and you can start to get the picture

Bit hot in Texas for Ice Hockey?
Lots of teams here. See, there is this thing called air conditioning . . .
Actually, when the season runs, October through April for the minor leagues, it's cold enough most places not to make a total wreck of the ice. I have been to games where it was so warm and humid that the arena fogged up inside and the game had to be called until they could see, fixed it by having the players skate around in circles and stir up the air
