2011 - 2012 Barrow (English Conference North)

Media Prediction - 18th

A season of three parts, which averaged out as yet more mediocrity in position.
Star forward decides the season starts too early for him and wants six weeks more off, so decides to hit somebody in a pre-season friendly and get himself suspended for 6 games. Which was nice.
Don't win for the first ten games (gulp) but my chairman obviously thinks the sun shines out of my arse because at no stage is he less than pleased with me. Get some good freebies in and results improve slightly for a period of inconsistancy, and then pick up a great keeper and central defender who tighten the defence up no end and only lose twice in the last ten games, both away to the team who where top when I played them.
Not even going to speculate about next season, got enough egg on my face already to open an "Omelette-u-like" franchise.
Oh! I won a cup game!! Just the one mind...

Media Prediction - 16th

Just a quickie (oo-er missus) Slight improvement in position, and gained a whole point on previous season!!! Also won a couple of cup matches!! Was also weirdly enough offered the Welsh and Nigerian jobs at the end of this season, both which were obviously turned down as maybe they were not exactly true to life. Finances here are dire, half million in the red, losing money hand over fist, Ass Manager and one of my scouts moved onto pastures new and unable to replace them due to wage restrictions. Promoted my coach to Ass manager, so now running club with him, one scout and a physio. Oh and the best tea lady in the country (maybe, I'm making that up, FM08??)
Also massive restrictions on contracts I can offer, this may well be a make or break season ahead.
