I believe its two levels, Kent. I think there's the UniBond Premier League, UniBond Division One, then the County leagues around the north. Real shame this, I hate seeing clubs with big history going under. I seem to remember hearing Cambridge United weren't so far off this outcome so long ago, mergers with Cambridge City were mentioned, not sure how that wound up though.
The Scarborough FC is dead. Long live Scarborough Athletic FC. |

To say Scarborough had a big history is overstating it somewhat.

Well they do in comparison to the likes they were playing week in week out in the Conference North, and would have been in the UniBond leagues.

Always sad to see any side go under. Felt the same when Clydebank/Airdie went under a few years ago.
Here's hoping that the fans can make a successful new club that can make it back to conference level at some point.
RIP Scarborough |

The Scarborough FC is dead. Long live Scarborough Athletic FC. | Thanks for the answer! It will be a long time before Scarborough are playable in FM again then.
I once opted for Scarborough because I simply thought they had a cool and fitting name for lower league battlers. Then I started to follow their real life battles in the Conference and as the years went by, they became my second fav team in England. I even considered visiting the city of Scarborough and see the team live. Kinda pathetic, I know.
Now I will follow the new team, courtesy of their website, and I hope they do well.

Scarborough Athletic will be playing in the Northern Counties East League Div. 1 this season coming, this equates to level 10 of "The Pyramid".
The Conference North counts as level 7, so Scarborough will need three promotions to reach FM playability again.

Cambridge united have just about pulled through altho came very close to being scrapped. The local press have tipped them to do better than last year.I watch them regular and prey they clinch promotion |
