Decided to play in my home country…Northern Ireland and Frank decided to send me to Lurgan Celtic.

Northern Ireland 2nd Division
Board Expectation: Avoid Relegation
Media Prediction: 8th
I had no transfer funds to improve my squad so I had to make do with the players I had. Majority of my team was made up of promoted U-18’s as I had a feeling I was going to have to rely on youth for years to come as I watched my club lose 10K a month.

Once again I had no funds as my team’s funds descended further into the red. One point less than last year showed that I just don’t have enough experienced players to compete for the title. Seems like it could be a long time before I challenge the likes of Linfield. Happy enough though that my young players are beginning to show some promise. Especially my midfield conductor, who is only 19. Cups also provided a good source of income this year as I just about broke even for the year..although I am still in the red.

Terribly Disappointing season as I realised the players I was hoping would progress from the youth team of 2 years ago have simply not been able to step up and I was forced towards the end of the season to rely on a new bunch of youth team players to save me from relegation. And I am still losing money

Definite Improvement on last season as I was clear of relegation and until a terrible run towards the end of the season which pulled me away from a promotion race to just staying clear of the dogfight. I also cashed in on my first compact striker this year as he was no longer a first team regular. Another achievement was signing my first player.

This year was my best yet as I was finally able to claim the league title. Was unable to defend my Cup but it didn’t matter after I secured my place in the 1st Division. On a sadder note I am still losing money constantly and I have no idea how to change that as the 11 players I released last season to clear up wage space seem to have made things worse rather than better somehow.

First Season in the First Division turned out a lot better than I thought it would. I was able to push Newry to within 5 points of promotion playoff. Disappointing in the end that I didn’t secure a place in the playoffs but simply avoiding relegation was a tremendous achievement for this team. Also this season signed 6 players to bolster my squad 5 of which became regulars, one of which was from my hometown.

It helps break up your update a bit, so we can see where one season ends and another begins.
I don't think I've ever looked in any other fora at SI apart from here, as the bookmarked page is the LLM forum, as opposed to the SI Forums as a whole. Enjoyed reading this so far, nice steady work and nice to see a smooth transition to Division 1. KUTGW!
Jimbokav1971 new compact striker is a completely new person...he is just the same height and very similar weight to the old compact striker...it just i not very good at thinking up new names.
