2009/10

Once more the board refuse to allow us to scout anywhere other than Wales. It feels like we're the only club with this restriction and, alongside the refusal to go Pro it's making me think about quitting the club soon.

In the league, we managed to hold onto Llanelli's coat-tails for much of the year, only to finish 8 points behind:

P34 W21 D11 L2 F67 A28 Pts.74 Pos. 2nd

Frustratingly, whilst I was laughed at for applying for jobs at Conference clubs, the Llanelli manager was taken on by Birmingham in January, Ian Rush replacing him.

Cups were a happier matter, with Llanelli managing to get themselves knocked out of a couple:

Welsh Cup: Winners v Port Talbot. 2-0 AET
Welsh Challenge Cup: Winners v Newtown. 1-0
FAW Premier Cup: 1/4s v Cardiff 0-1. Cardiff win

UEFA Cup:
1st Qualifying Round v Anorthosi (Cyprus). 1-4 (A) 1-1 (H)

Ahhhh. On another point what sort of level is the Welsh league equal to compared to the English and Scottish Leagues?

Conf Nat and 2nd Division is what I am thinking but I don't really know for sure.

Very hard to say. Certainly whenever Cardiff play teams in the FAW Premier Cup IRL they always play the kids so it's not easy to compare. The Jacks always take it quite seriously and do quite well, so even the likes of TNS and Llanelli are below League 1 standard, for definite.

I'd put the standard around Conference North and South, based on the fact that there are only two full-time teams in the Welsh Premier.

KUTGW Michal and HB

What about Scotland because I have just realised that I only have the English leagues down to Conf National in my save and I have no intention of starting again.
