Simple question really.

I know feeder/parent club arrangements are frowned upon with English clubs due to real life FA rules.

What about clubs in Northern Ireland? Do the same rules apply? I know such arrangements are allowed in many countries.

Aha, now that's a question...

Keith did a lot of research into Norn Iron and found a quote which said that one of the lower league clubs in FM was linked to a non-league Norn Irish club.

Unfortunately that's all I can remember without going into e-mails and other fora.

My end thoughts on it was that the club had a link with this amateur outfit, but no parent club.

I hope no one minds if I steal this thread, I figure I'd rather post here than create a new thread.

Frank sent me to Scottish Arbroath in my latest save, and my board linked me with a parent club. I, myself, feel completely uncertain about the rules with feeder clubs. I know for a fact that they are not allowed in England, but are in other countries.

Well, anyway, is it okay for me to make use of my parent club? Or should I cancel the link A.S.A.P.?

Scottish Clubs don't have parents and aren't feeders IRL.

It's one of those quandaries in LLM. The mantra has always been "Realism...as realistic as the game allows", "Only use SI updates because SI can be trusted"...therefore it could be justifiably argued that SI allow parent/feeder clubs whereas they're not allowed in real life.

What's realism?

If 'twere me I'd bin it ASAP.

Aren't Hearts a feeder for Kaunas?

Ps. Yes a Gers fan from edinburgh...I recently moved to the 'burgh!

Kaunas are a feeder for Hearts, to be fair...they have about 9 players on loan from them at any one time.
