I can get two promotions in a row, but that's in Sweden, then it will take me five more seasons to get promoted again.
Oh and i'm not defending him by the way.

I haven't played in England so can't say for sure, but in the other leagues I've played in (Italy and Spain) it's normally a 2-3 season grind per promotion. 1st season to survive, next season to stabilize and find new star players, third to try to win it.
You can do back to back once in my experience (first and second season). This is because your squad starts out strong enough to get promoted and the new season allows you to bring in a whole new squad strong enough for the division as well as your old team having some strength in depth.
After that, you need to basically shed the whole team as the leap in quality is too big and especially as players of good enough quality won't sign for you. Unless you knew which one were good/would become and would sign for you...

I got a conference team to League 1 in my 3rd and 4th seasons, :eek: but now have a **** poor team for league 1 and haven't won in 1st 8 games relegation beckons.  | |
