So I decided I wanted to try managing a lower level team, but wasn't ready for the full challenge. So I went into the editor and created a make believe team and put them in the conference north. I gave them 30,000 seater with state of the art facilities. Then I made their reputation "worldwide" and created some players for them. The first player I put on the team was Pele, and then i added a few other players...just to make it a bit easier for myself...it is my first time trying this. Well it turns out I'm probably the best lower league manager of all time. 6 straight promotions and a uefa cup win when i was still in the chmpionship!! try to beat that!
Started at some club named Lewes, which is really pronounced Lewis, or even Louis, but certainly not with an -es. Dire ground, dire facilities, dire players, dire manager.
06/07: Brought in some not-useless old guys, and some not-unpromising youngsters, and dashed to 15th place.
07/08: Signed some guy from the Welsh League to play on the left wing. All he did was dribble, but he was brilliant at it. Player of the year, and somehow elevated the crap around him to 8th.
08/09: Got a really young lad on loan from Yo-ville. Not sure why he wanted to come, but I certainly appreciated it. Banged in 24 in the league, and we reached the playoffs in 3rd position, just in time for the Yoville lad to pick up a knock. Miraculously, we won everything from there out without him. Tried to extend the loan but they weren't interested. The Dripping Pan will see conference footie next year!
Note: It took me several millenia to play that much, so expect to wait at least as long for the next season.
Great start, both in terms of club success and also the update. I was reading furiously fast when I saw the first few lines just so I could hit reply and burn you alive. Nice one, KUTGFalseBlatentWindUppingW!
