I've managed to get in the premiership with Bristol City, now in the second season. I really want to make use of the youth team for the future.
Anyone got any advice on how to manage it effectivly?
How many players should I have in it? Should I be on the lookout for players at other clubs to put in my youth team?
How can I help to make the youngsters good enough so that one day they will be good enough to play in the first team? How long should I leave players there?
Does anyone have a specific regime that they have implimented that makes good use of it and had success?
It's always best to be on the lookout for more talent to add to your youth team, and the younger you import the players the more likely they will become homegrown. Also get rid of the crappy players, look at the coach reports from all staff to get the most in depth assessment of a player.
I give the players left heavy training and once in a while a shot at first team football, best way to see how good they really are.
