Default Getting the best out of attacking midfielders

Hi, I've got Mark Bresciano in my Newcastle team and his long shot stat is 20, with supporting stats to set him up as a high scorer. He's got about 12 goals in his first season for me which is pretty good.
I play him in a flat 4-4-2 as the attacking midfielder with a curving arrow going forward. Forward runs, run with the ball and long shots to often and everything else at mixed. Anyone think of a way to get more out of him? Should I not have him running with the ball so he's saving his energy for darting runs into the box? cheers

Go to "positions" and see what his preffered moves are.
Generally, if it doesn't list it, I don't do it.
