has anyone complained about a referee and been successful ? I'd just like to know if it is possible to be successful and what happens. I have complained so many times and been fined and whatever else happens and it is frustrating because my players always say it was offside or we should have had a penalty.

Best just to shut up and get on with it. Not worth the hassle.

Basically all that happens if you complain and get it right is that the FA are silent and don't punish you. That's it.

But I suppose that's exactly what happens in real life. Once the decision's been made, right or wrong, there's nothing you can do to change it.

Successful in what way?
I've complained about incorrect offside decisions, and the FA have been "strangely quiet on the subject", but obviously that gets you nowhere. Just for your own peace of mind.
If you mean appeals against 3-match bans, these hardly ever pay off either. I don't tend to appeal. Hard to know if a red card is deserved or not, the commentary doesn't give much away.

PS. Just cos your players say it, don't mean it is so! They're just bitter, and will look for any excuse to get the goal ruled out, just like in real life - Marseilles centre-back was appealing for offside on Tuesday when Torres waltzed past him!
To summarise - don't listen to the complaints your players make.
Best to say "I didn't see the incident". Just like Arsene
