I have a player on loan until the end of the season who's contract now has 5 months to run - but I can't offer to sign him on a Bosman? Is this a bug?

So do I end his loan in the hope that I can then sign him, or wait until the end of the season and hope that this parent club don't offer him a new contract?

If he's playing in the same league system as you (i.e his team and your team are both in one of the English leagues) then you won't be able to sign him on a free until he's only got a month left on his contract.

Only players from abroad can be signed with only 6 months of their contract left.

I'm in Scotland nad his team is in England - should be ok I would have thought??

I think that you can only offer him a contract in the last six weeks of his ending, think it applies to all British clubs.

No,, I can offer contracts to other English based players who have under 6 months left on their contracts - just not the one I have on loan.
