I think its crazy if anyone doesn't notice the amount of yellow and red cards..every single central midfielder i got has 20 yellows and a couple of reds at least! I didn't even change the tactics..so it's unbelievable!

Everyone can say about the OP what they want; it's his tactic, that he should grow up, whatever. But all of that doesn't change the fact that he's right. 41 shots? Utter unrealistic crap. Matches like these don't happen on a CL level, ever. Even when Man Utd thrash Roma 7-1, Arsenal go 7-0 against Slavia or Liverpool demolish Besiktas 8-0. There's just no way it would happen against a team like Liverpool.

Someone said he should've expected Valencia to attack because he played defensive. That's just horribly wrong. When a team like Celtic plays defensive, it's very hard to break them down and score goals. Now when an organised team like Liverpool plays ultra defensive, any opponent would have an incredibly hard time creating chances against them. In that situation, 41 shots is ludicrous. Even if they were all blocked long shots, it would still be unrealistically much. But 16 of them were even on target. There's no other possible conclusion than this: the match engine screwed up that match beyond any excuse.

I agree with rhe OP, 41 shots is just not realistic and rhe current match engine does not replicate an accurate simulation of football, watch any football match over this coming weekend, then watch extended highlights of a game on FM08 and you may well see how flawed the match engine is.

41 shots in a game is laughable. People try to hide this fact by attacking the people who post it. They can't admit that 41 shots is completely unrealistic, even if you go completely defensive.

But SI will still deny it so...

i went 2-0 up against chelsea as aston villa and was battering them after the 90th minute they scored 2 goals. Is that a sham ?

Would you still be moaning if you won? It seems to me that one result has gone againt you and suddenly, you hate the game! Thats reasonable :eek:

I agree that 41 shots is clearly too many but you said youu never had a problem with the ME until this game. Let it slide as a one-off. I've not once seens a game like that while playing, just chill and enjoy the game for what it is.

I would agree with that.

The game has its flaws, we all know it, SI admit it, they know it isn't perfect and things need improved.

But it's a series of programs and code and such and therefore cannot be perfect. If you haven't had any problems before or since this match I'd just try to enjoy it.
