Hello people,

I'm currently playing as Liverpool and my financial situation is perfect yet the chairman keeps accepting bids for my players!!! just sold Sissoko, Mascherano, Alonso, and Crouch and I didnt even accept any of the bids!! It's absolutly mad,

I understand if it happens in a small team but why would they need to sell those players for me!?

I'm dreading receiving a 20 million bid for gerrard because I think they might accept that too!

We all know about the match engine and how the strikers tend to miss more one on one opportunities than you can ever imagine, but to me this chairman interference is even worse, on top of that, the confidence issue is just as insane, I have my board upset at me for going out of the carling cup when im unbeaten in the league, can you believe that?!?!

I have had exactly the same problem with Arsenal: For me, the biggest bug in the game. However, easy to fix - just edit how well known your team is - to something like 9200 - 9500. Problem is then the borad will expect even more but wont sell your players.

AT what point in the game did this start happening?
I have heard several stories like this but honestly I am in year 4 with a big team and you wouldn't even know chairman were in the game. I haven't heard one thing from mine.

the sissoko transfer was in season 1, the others in season 2 so it's at various times.

I had it happen with 3 big players for Arsenal before the 1st season even kicked off. I edited Hillwood to have less interferance and tweaked Arsenal's fame up a notch and the restarted the game and it did not happen again.

As I said in another post - Arsenal, supposedly, IRL rejected bids of 50k for Henry a couple of seasons back. So to me selling Cesc and Hlebb for peanuts was just not realistic.

thank god its not happening to me yet.hopefully it wont.I also think this is annoying.Anyway,once the board accepts the bid for your player,can you not cancel the transfer when the game asks you to confirm or cancel the transfer?I guess you cant,but just wondering.

All I do now is ask for a high sum and 40mill after x amount of games, 50% sell on fee etc and the usaully pull out of the bid.

Problem is if you cancel a transfer - the player gets very upset.

once the chairman accepts, you can't cancell the transfer as he confirms it himself.

at the moment this is ruining the game for me along with the yellow and red cards. Just had a new players sent off twice in the first 3 games and it reached a point when I have to substitute one of the central midfielders every game after a booking and it's still not enough to prevent a sending off

The best thing to do is offer the player a large new contract as soon as the chairman accepts a bid for them. More often than not they'll just accept the new contract and stay with you anyway.
