I've been trying to create an fm2006 update over the last week or two. I was using an old version of fmgenie for fm06. The only things I've been messing with is which clubs players and managers are with.
I then went into the official fm2006 editor to sort out the leagues in terms of promotions/relegations. The official editor loads the database fine, but when I save it gets half way through and then comes up with "a serious error was encountered and the application will close". A *.dmp error file is then created (but I don't know how to view this).
Luckily I backed up the database before I opened it in the official editor, but obviously it doesn't like something I've done. I can't work out what it could be though. Does anyone have any ideas what the most likely problem could be or how I could find out? I really don't want to lose all the hours of work I put into the update and I had intended to make it available for download...
