Use FMM to adjust your finances. It's very easy and can be done at any time during the game.

Yes, it's easier with FMM, but if you want to start the game with money, you need to start the game with a reputation. The game limits starting cash by rep.

If you download FMM, you can just keep adding lots of money to your bank balance every time you need it, you can add like £999million and when that runs out add more.
Although it does make the game rather boring after a while.
