I play Milan and can explain how do I set things to work out:
Dida: original
Oddo: 1st post
Jankulovsky: 2nd post
So, my full-backs stay near posts like in IRL most of the times.
Nesta: man mark
Maldini: man mark
Pirlo: come back
Ambrosini: mark tallest opponent player (thanks to his attributes of marking, heading and jumping)
Gattuso: mark opponent shortest player (thanks to his attributes of marking, tackling, bravey, etc)
Seedorf: close down near corner taker (Kaká is injured but it will be the same)
R. Oliveira: stay up the pitch
Gilardino: stay up the pitch
Try to set things accordingly to your team/players. For my experience is important to have full-backs near posts, central defenders man-marking and then look for your best heading/jumping player to mark opponent tallest player. The rest is identical for what I said. Hope it helps.
