Default flashing graphics

I am a new user to your forum so would like to say Hi to everybody, now to get down to my problem, when I have a photo loaded in Photoshop 7 it flashes, the photo that is, this as only been a problem recently, if I load the same photo into Irfanview its okay, any idea's would be most welcome.

It continuously flashes? Never heard of such a problem and also have no clue what could cause this. Which OS do you use?

the os is XP it do's not flash all the time but enougth to be a nusance
