Right, time to look at the corner setup for FM08.

Basically I'm yet to find anythign that works particullay well.

-The nearpost flick on trick from 07 dosn't seem to work now.
-It is possible to get players to line up much like the corner trick from 06, but the ball dosn't usually make it to the lurker.

Infact corner takers seem alot less accurate this time around, and very often the corner just seems to go somewhere quite random and not to the place it's set (ie near post).


Anybody got any good corner setups so far?

I just use the same as I did on FM07, 1-2 players challenging the GK, my best header (Barzagli) near post flick on, my best finisher attacking the far post, and Gerrard outside the area for any clearances that fall to him, Doesn't get me as many goals as it did on 07 but still gets me a few hear and there from near post flick ons.

Have tried introducing some corner settings into my tactic "4213 McNugget Cruise Control" but it seemed like I was scoring less from open play and dropping about 2/3 goals a match.

Settings:

Aim: Near Post
Best Header: Near Post Flick On
2nd Best: Challenge GK
3rd Best: Far Post
Best Long Shots: Edge Of Area

I scored 2 corners in a whole season.

I'd add one more to McNuggets and it'll be the same as the FAQ's ...which is set someone who has good heading and finishing to stand at far post...that way he should collect all the rubbish. I have 2 lurkers. Allows more control when I lose the ball.

The difference and this is the important part is:

Those who challenge the keeper need to be the strongest in the team...other than that it should yield you quite a few goals. Also set to near post.

Its fine for me...my corners are still fairly dangerous...though choosing the right players now to take it are really impt decisions, more so than in 07.

I have this problem too, but:
I'm playing Roma now, after 3/4 of season i score sth like 4-5 goals in ligue from corners, and INTER score 10, LAZIO 10 from corners.

I dunno but maybe they have good strategy? or maybe its mixed and random one?
I dunno, but it maybe worth checking...
You can play against Inter,if you start new game with Roma, after a month (you can go to holiday for this time, save game prematch, and load there again) you will play with Inter in Supercup, when you can look at theres corner strategy.

I will do it right now, but more of as it will be more probability of success.

It's obvious, that they playing to far post, or maybe 6 yard box?

But what about individual instruction of other players?
Now i don't have time for tell you more, but i've hope that it will be enough now, and you help me with it.

It seems like they're crowding the far post with as much as possible and 1 or 2 lurking... Possibly alot of strong defenders using muscle in there?
