What do you have to do when you get this error message

"Could not complete the request because of a program error"

The request was to save or save as.

Do I need to find the CD and erase the program and
reload it again?

Do you have it a lot? If not, then just ignore it, there are no computers without glitches, although some still believe in fairy tales.

It has only done it this once, but it won't go away. I can't save anything at all.
Therefore I can't ignore it. I have tried shutting down the computer and restarting
but to no avail. :cry:

Try scanning your drive for errors; if you use Windows, right click on your drive in explorer, click tools and click on the Check now... button, check "Automatically fix system errors" and click start.

I did explorer. Didn't I? You say "Right click on drive" where is "drive" on this page?

what Gaussian means to say is: right click on your C drive in windows explorer and select properties then tools

I also recommend doing this for any additional drives you may have. As well as defragment (next one down)

Oh yes, now THAT makes sense. I tried it and it didn't solve the problem. I also tried System Restore and no matter what date I choose it says it can't restore to that date. I have run my virus and anti-spyware programs.

Any other suggestions?

C'mon hey, be fair, it's not my fault that you don't have any basic Windows XP skills. If I ask you to "right click on your drive" in explorer (I didn't say "right click drive" so that you could have been confused with a text label) and you don't know what to do, then don't blame me for not being accurate enough, I just asked my 13 year old daughter and she knew exactly what to do.
