I'm Notts County, in the league 1, we've the third best scoring record, but the worst conceding record! Most goals are conceded by corners, others by not marking the striker properly but i have it set to tight marking.
Do i have to set individual player instructions for corners? Please respond quick thanks!

I don't but what makes the difference for me is having an awesome goalkeeper, he must save 80%of the one on one chances that come at him.

Im Newcastle and im having the same problem with conceding.

What makes it worse is that at least two of the goals i have conceded is my defender scoring an own goal.

Something silly I've noticed is, that if defender is unhappy or something similar, the risk of them to score more own goals is bigger. Almost all own goals I've ever scored have been from either (A) - Unhappy/unsettled player. (B) - New player who hasn't geled in yet. Also should check consentration stat for him.

Not sure, probably stating obvious here, but fro m corner instructions have tall and good aerial players mark opponent's tall players etc.

I've got Vilmunen from Drogheda, he's class if you haven't tried him. My defenders just ain't tall enough(so i got Ryan Shawcross and poof i got my first clean sheet)
