Hi Guys,

Can anyone suggest players or tactics that will turn my Oldham team from Mediocre in to Title winners?

They start in league one and have £40,000 transfer funds so cheap or free players are my only way forward. Finding players that will realistically move to me with any quality is my main problem.

Also Tactics are a problem, i need a tactic that just pretty much stops you conceding goals, i always build my teams around clean sheets as strikers are just too inconsistent on FM in the lower leagues.

Any help would be much appreciated!

On my Bournemouth game i got Lehtovaara in goal for 10k.
He is a class act.
Also got doudin for around 16k and he has worked well up front. Try looking in Prmiership reserve squads for transfer listed/loan listed players.
I got Kissock from Everton on loan.

I have had problems with conceding aswell so i am trying to bring in experienced centre halves to beef it up a little!!

Search staff get better free coaches
Adapted fiora2 tactic -left instructions same just removed barrow on striker move midfield to amc & dmc (diamond)

Sign Scott Donnelly on a free transfer, play him in centre mid with a curved line into ACM. He has scored me 9 in 13. He was Young player of the year at QPR but was released so he's available on a free. let me know how u get on! : )

Seth Johnson.

Seyfo Soley, he is only on with a large database though.

Tactics seem really hard, i want to keep it tight but also threaten the opposition every now and then?

Try loaning in Bradley Wright phillips and Danny Haynes. 2 very lethal finishers

Right guys, an update!

I spent 10 hours playing on friday night with out actually playing any matches i was scouting so i have uncovered some of the best players on the game for next to nothing.

I am at work at the moment so i will name the player who i can remember from the top of my head.

Albin Ekdahl( might be spelt ekhdal) - he is a sweden under-21 attacking midfeilder. I signed him for £16,000. He scored alot of goals from midfield. at the end of the season i sold him to Lille for £2,500,000 and 50% of any future Fee.

Also.....Anton Sosnin - He cost me £100,000. Possibly the best young player i have ever had! another attacking midfielder form Russia this time though. He was scoring more than one goal a game on average, his only problem was his stamina and he needed a rest every few games which annoyed me with such a great talent. I have just accepted a bid of £5,000,000 and 50% of any future fee for him from Spatak Moscow!!! Manchester United manager has watched him alot on my game and said he has the potential to be a world class player!

My goal scoring striker was Szymon Kazmierowski - Signed for £20,000 from poland (Either wisla or another club in poland) He scored 21 for me in his first season. now worth £1,100,000 in league one.

Jan Polak. My centre half that half the world is after!! I payed £140,000 for him and i really do think he will make me around £10,000,000 if i choose to sell him.

I finished the season in 5th place in league one and lost out in the play offs to Yeovil!!! Gutted!!! Hopefully my second season will be better!!

Oh and im playin 3-5-2, with a sweeper, wingbacks and an attacking midfielder behind my 2 strikers!

I will be online when i get home so i will put up a list of around 25 players that are class and will move to a league one side for no more than £200,000.

I can see this squad taking me to the Premiership in a few years if i can keeo hold of them!

Keigan Parker can be usually bought on a Free Transfer at the end of the 1st season! He scored 19 goals for Blackpool but they released him..so i bought him and he is a revelation.
