Can anyone explain the difference? I'm not certain I understand the difference between the two. Obviously work rate is important but I would have thought that includes team work as well no? If different, in what scenario would team work be important (disregarding work rate for the moment)?

Teamwork is how players move attack or defend together, how they move on the ball as a unit.

Workrate is how an individual player will not give up on plays, will play hard even when tired, and most noticeable for me is how well they play in bad weather.

Hard to tell how much teamwork plays a factor but workrate you can see. Fullbacks with low workrate don't seem to get back to their position after attacks very quick and defensive midfielders don't get as many tackles per game.

Cheers mate. Exaclty what I was looking for. Am offloading Diarra and getting Lucas instead. Lucas has a lesser stat in teamwork than Diarra though so I was feeling a little apprehensive. I'll go in for him now.

If I remember correctly from the thread about what each attribute does, Teamwork is how hard a player works to get into position when your team has possesion and workrate is how hard a player works to get into position when you dont have the ball.
