Unable to find any players who want to come to the club who are apparently better than our current squad, it looks like being a hard season. Odds given, though, are 150-1, better than our last stay on the second tier. After a four-loss start, the squad does surprisingly well in a tight league. In total, we score 4 fewer goals than our last stay in the division, less than one per game, but our toughened defence concedes only 24. A win at local rivals Alta and a 0-0 draw at Haugesund on the last day of the season sees us claim 3rd place and an unlikely promotion playoff against IK Start from the Tippeligaen. We manage a heroic 1-1 draw away, but lose the home leg 1-0 with a man sent off. Bloody hot-head defenders.

Still, very creditable given that several members of the opposition are paid more than our entire squad combined, and worth more than the club itself. In the cup, we go out meekly in the 3rd round yet again.

Poor old Alta, you're always saying how you beat them, its a lovely place to visit . They got a few good players on fm too but you don't own the stadium so its a bit annoying to play as them. Building a new one though so maybe in 08 ill give Hammerfest a good battering with Alta IF or Bossekop UL if they're playable.
