I've got a bit bored with managing teams in the top divisions, I've got a great go going with boca for a bit of a change, but now i've decided to go for the "pure" FM experience.

I'm managing Wrexham, league 2, it's very early days, but it's going pretty well. Expectations: safe mid-table, media prediction 11th. Balance 40k, budget 10k.

Apparently if you're managing in lower leagues you're not sposed to talk about tactics and players you've got and stuff like that, so i won't do that!

The first thing you've got to do is find a striker to get you the goals. I managed to find a FGN Striker from the scottish leagues, amazing stats for a league 2 player. He got 6 in his first 5 games, including 1st and 2nd in the first goal of the month! Didn't score for next 2 games, and then got sent off for elbowing, 3 game ban! 6 in 9 now, but i think he should be a reliable player for me.

I've got in some good players including a DC on a free who's always available at the start, and another DC who's got 50 caps for his country, they're a decent defensive partnership.

Liverpool are my parent club, so I will be looking to get some loans in from them, but annoyingly i'm over my wage budget by a bit, and livepool won't accpet my % contribution, a bit unrealistic IMO!

Wrexham don't really have any good strikers, so I've got in 2 quite well known young strikers on loan, they're doing ok.

In FM I pride myself on my transfer ability (less so tactics, the harder skill!) And i will spend AGES literally scouring the world for good players (esp on this go where the scouting knowledge is so poor) And i've picked up a good young MC, ST and a very good looking young GK.

Interestingly, I've got 2nd nationality belarus (my grandfather was from there) so my knowledge of belarus is good, there's some decent players from there (looking to get A Hleb in 5ys! Smile ) But had WP probs with all attempts so far.

Tactics wise (i know i can't say too much) I've got them playing fairly defensively, and i've only conceded 8 in 12, very happy with that. Only scored 16 tho. Still trying to work out if that's coz my tactics are too defensive or coz I've got a lot of new players still settling in and maybe not quite all the attacking options i want.

Haven't got the coaching sorted yet, loads of coaches are interested but can't pay the release clause.

First things first lad, have a look (and by look I mean good read) of the forum headers.

And to get you started, a couple of points.

1. League 2 is pushing it for LLM.

2. Searching for players yourself is a no-no, you've got scouts to do that.
