I apologise in advance if this qualifies as "tipping" but I couldn't find anything against it in the forum rules.
Anyway, I'm just interested as to what people find the most challenging and also the easiest lower leagues to be.
Generally speaking I like to stick to European leagues. Mostly because the standard is so low in outside of there and South America. South America tends to have the problem of crazy league systems which make promotional nigh on impossible. I guess i'm just not up to the challenge or something.
I've found Portugal to be a very difficult league for some reason, as are the Scandinavian leagues. The big three are comparatively easier as are the French and German Leagues.
So my question is what have you found to be the most challenging leagues to manage in? and what would you recommend as a bit of an easier task?
I guess it depends what your overall ambition is really. If you want to take a club to European glory then you had better start in a big league and take a team all the way up to be a world power. Theres a lot of leagues that are kinda fun to see how high you can though with such a low reputation in the league that you cant really ever hope for champions league wins. I know what you mean about some south american leagues, Brazilian 3rd division is insane with 128 teams
If I remember right the Finnish league has a bug which causes the weather to get stuck on 'Heavy Rain' after a while, so that might be an added wrinkle for you.
Italy is good, I ended up there a while back in an old upper league save, Cecina were the only club that took my application seriously...
the Serie C isn't much different in terms of style of play to the Serie A, even the really low down clubs have players with a bit of flair. For a good challenge, i would personally recommend Sansovino, in debt, but with the right tactics, could be taken up the table, low expectations as well.
If you go for the Swedish league, remember it starts earlier, i started in august in my current game, went to Kenty with 9 games to go and was expected to save them from relegation... at 13 points from the relegation playoff spot.
