Seasons 2006/7 - 2015/16

I started off at Scarborough, some misplaced sympathy and wish to play with a team on -10 points drew me there, but things didn'r work out and I *ahem* left to join Leigh after a season.

This and that happened, I got a Scottish AssMan, struggled a bit, but eventually we were promoted to the Championship the season before last...i.e. spent last season in The Championship.

Season 2016/17

Anyhoo...we're in The Championship this season again, Board expect us to gain a respectable mid-table position (last season the wanted us to avoid relegation, which we did by a fair bit).

We still have the Scots AssMan.

This season however, and the reason I started an update, we had a young English AMRC (who excited my AssMan...another Chris Langham?) and a young English versatile player (his position sheet reads like a Connect 4 game) who actually give me hope for the future.

We signed a couple of Norwegians, an ST and a DC, who look like they'll do a job (combined fee of £55k) and sold our star player, a French/Welsh/Irish MC, for £1.5m, because he had itchy feet (not relieved by Lamasil).

I think this could be the season.

Season 2016/17 New Year

We've played Brentford eight times in three separate divisions, 2nd, 1st and Championship, and we've lost 7 and drawn 1. They seem to be a bit of a bogey team.

Reason I mention it is that we have them in the FA Cup 3rd Round in a few days.

We're settled in nicely near the top of the Championship, btw, ready for an assault on playoff places definitely, maybe even straight promotion.

Long way to go yet, though...

Haven't finished the season, but we did beat Brentford 1-0 :cool:

I stopped playing after that to bask in the glory for a while.

Oh dear Ian is mocking the God of Aquaplaning, vengence will be his.

One of the main things about aquaplaning is knowing when you are, and knowing when you're not :cool:

Did Leigh have a huge attendance increase in your game as well, Ian?
They started out low in my save, and suddenly they were getting figures in the 8000s at Conference Level.
