Thrown out two saves because of the same "reach certain date/crashed" bug.

Can you remember what date, what version, how many Leagues, what size database, etc?

One was all Asian leagues + Australia loaded, v. 7.0.2., large db that's for sure, I reported it too in the bugs forum.

I had the game crash on a certain date three-four times in a row, despite trying to go on holiday, making sure I had no outstanding contract negotiations, all the things that people suggest from time to time.

What actually got me through that particular date was, every time I pressed Continue, as soon as the blue thingie came up over the screen, I pressed "Browse" again. After a while the game would return, and I'd press Continue and Browse again. It got me through that day, and the save's been fine ever since.

I'm only up to 2015, so plenty of time for it to go belly-up again, but that did work for me.

Although...I'm a few months into my Leigh save (doing crap at the moment, ta) I probably won't actually play the other one again

Losing any save is bad :thdn:.

Losing a save in 2023 is really bad :thdn:.

Losing a save in 2023, but then finding a forgotten about back-up, only for that to crash too is just taking the pee .

I've just encountered the same issue. My save won't go past 7th January 2029.
