Apparently "the other" Fergie was considered...for about a nano-second.

As Darns said though (paraphrased) "Hell Freezes Over", an' all that jazz.

Perhaps it could be considered plausible for the manager of the UEFA cup winners to quit their job in order to rejuvenate a sleeping giant in League 1, but not Wolves.

Wolverhampton is an absolute sheethole and the manager of the reigning FA Trophy winners would seriously consider chewing his own legs off before he subjected his family to the prospect of living in the Black Country. I've never been to Leigh, but it couldn't be any worse.

That post above may well be quite a valid one, but to be honest, I couldn't tell you because I read the start of it, and for some reason the voice in my head, (don't start), put on this awful Brummie accent that made me roll with laughter.

Imagine that numpty from Auf Weidersein Pet saying it and you may well see what I mean.

The bit about Wolverhampton is valid, but there are some quaint little towns and villages a few miles north that the manager and his family could live in.

Staffordshire begins badly and deteriorates as you move north in my experience, eventually reaching the lawless wasteland of the Potteries (although admittedly I do have an irrational fear of the Potteries from my student days). To be even allowed to live in Staffordshire, Iajafer would have to have a tatoo of a snake on his neck and/or hands. It is a law they have in the county instead of paying council tax.

A Wolves manager's best bet would be to make the longer commute from the (relative) haven of Worcestershire or kip at a service station somewhere along the M5 so he at least feels like he can swiftly exit the area at all times. But he would still have to frequent Wolverhampton for occasions such as training sessions and home fixtures.

In addition, Ruth Badger is from the Wolverhampton area and as manager of Wolves you marginally increase your chances of one day meeting her, thus making the decision of a Premiership manager to move to the club less realistic.

Badgerisbad.
