That sounds a lot like the aquaplaning I experienced yesterday that ruined my promotion completely. I've never been that mad about FM before. I am so sad I didn't know arsebiscuits then.

In those 14 games I changed formation, personnel, instructions, promoted a couple of reserves to the first team to see if they could score for us (they were netting a barrowload for the reserves), but to no avail.

AI decided I'd beaten Liverpool ( ) in the Cup so I could suffer, and suffer we did.

10 points out of a possible 42...arsebiscuits! ('tis a good and underused word, indeed  )

Season 2019/20

Hmmm...erg...uhm...euch.

Okely dokely, we finished 7th in the EPL, booted out early on in the FA and League Cups...

...but we won the UEFA.

The semi finals were annoying, though. We played Bolton and other finalists Arsenal played Portsmouth. Four Poofish teams in the semis.

We beat Arsenal 3-1.

Season 2020/21

In early October I noticed that Wolves were getting a bit peeved with their manager, so I declared an interest.

The Leigh board were a bit miffed, so when the Wolves manager was sacked a few days later I applied for the job.

This bit I love...the Leigh board invited me in and offered me the chance to resign with my reputation intact and save the ignonimity of being sacked, I kid you not

I resigned and was offered the job at Molineux on 20/10/20, and accepted.

Wolves were rock bottom of League 1 on P16, W2, D3, L11, Pts9.

I plundered Leigh and signed a GK and two SCs in January, then signed a DMC from them on the last day of the transfer window.

We finished 9th, P46, W19, D8, L19, Pts65 (P30, W17, D5, L8, Pts56), and the board were pleased.

Cups...pharrt!

So, next season in League 1.

What was the reason for dropping down to League 1? Bored at Leigh? Wanted a new challenge? Have a fondness for Wolves?

Yep, basically it.

I'd won the UEFA with Leigh, Wolves were down at heel in League 1, I was hankering after some lower league dogfight, likelihood of an EPL manager taking on a team like Wolves in League 1? Pretty high, I'd imagine...so down I went

That's not realistic, you won a Uefa Cup that makes you overqualified for the England job
