Ok, so in an earlier post I said that 2nd place in the Liga de Honra goes into a playoff. Like a number of things in this thread, that's complete donkey balls, it's a straight promotion spot. In my defence, the skin I use doens't have a huge difference between the two, an I'd never been in that position at the end of the season. Anyway...

Brand new season, brand new strikeforce. A Brazillian, and another young Spaniad, an AM/F C I signed last season. I've got lots of spanish players now.

First half of the season was good, spending most of the time in 2nd place. I got worried in January when the board sold my two spanish starlets, the AM/F C and MC (the MC went to the team in 1st, for less than 500k ) , but another young spanish signing, and my Liechenstein international MC stepped up and played well. With one game to go, a win would gain us promotion. We did win, and Gil Vicente above us drew, so we were Champions!

My Brazilian ST has already agreed a move to Porto, so yet again I'll have another new strikeforce pairing. But hey, Primeira Liga her I come!

Ah, my first season in the tope league. Added strength to all areas of the squad, in the hopes of staying up, including another new strikeforce. A horrible start was quickly forgotten, as we steadily rose up the league. Annoyingly, on of my strikers, a loanee, took 10 hours to score his first goal, and picked up a long term injury in the very same move. So he went back. New striker in January had the same name as my current one, so they are now Tweedledum and Tweedledee. Finishing 6th surprsed me, and we're one place off a euro vase spot.

We won overachivers, new Brazilian AML won best buy, and Mexican AM RL won fans player of the year. Yay!

Eh, spent the whole season mid-table. I have too many strikers, none of which can score consistently. Applied for the Feyernoord job, didn't get it. Chariman set up Fenerbache as our new parent club, and we can't expand past a 10000 seater stadium.

Yeah, that was odd, actually. The board didn't say a thing about it. I'm guessing that it's due to the length of time I've been there, and the relative sucess I've had. I'm not sure how much I'll get away with though.

Another lower-midtable season, so with 8 games to go, and after 10 years at the club, I resign. Before the end of the season I join Standard Liege in Belgium, who got relegated last season.

Belgian Second Division - 5th
P34 W15 D5 L14 F57 A49 Pts50

Joined with three games to go, in 8th place, but 3 points off top spot (16th place was only 6 points from 1st), and a playoff spot from the 1st phase. Won 2, lost 1.

Star keeper (leaving at end of season), got injured for the playoff, scuppering our chances.

I'm not sure if this is a upwards, sideways, or downwards move. Standard are in a lower league, but a bigger club. Go figure.
