My board is currently lowering the wage budget as the season progresses! The first couple of times they did this I renegotiated some contracts to create space under the limit as I would still like to sign another player, but this seems to have encouraged them to continue cutting.

Clearly the only option is to spend above the budget to encourage them to raise it!

I never worried about finances in older versions of FM, until I got to league 1 with small teams. However I've not yet played in England with the new game, so it may be different now.

I find myself constantly trying to keep an eye on the finances, from a wages perspective. If the board can't afford to pay for new players, I find myself trying more actively to clear out deadwood to make room for improvements/replacements.

on last years one i was havant and w in the conf south and made all my players full time and started getting attendances of like 1500.this time i have done the same but the crowds aren't going up.i won the f.a. cup with them on my last game for this years version and started getting attendaces of like 2000(i got promoted aswell).
