Default A New Club On The Radar

NK Rudar Velenje - Slovenian 2nd Division
Stadium - Ob Jezeru 1800 all-seater
Kit - Home: Green Away: Yellow

2006/07 - Predicted 4th/10 - Average Attendance 706

Slovenian Cup - 3rd Round 4-5 vs Koper
Slovenian 2nd Division - Champions 53 points w16-d5-l6

Awards - Slovenian 2nd Division Top Scorer - Mr. Backup Striker 15
Fan Favourite - High scoring backup striker

The whole season went well with mega-fast young striker bagging 10 in first 9 games before being out for 6 months with fractured ribs and a broken foot. Seriously high quality striker and the backup took up the slack. Exciting young winger even managed an u21 appearance at the end of the season.

2007/08 - Predicted 8th/10 - Average Attendance 1687

Slovenian Cup - 3rd Round 0-1 vs Maribor
Slovenian 1st Division - 4th (Euro Vase) 52 points w15-d7-l14

Awards - Slovenian Young Player of the Year - Annoying absent on internationals right winger
Fan Favourite - Mega-fast striker

We turned professional on promotion to 1st division and starting with a mostly unchanged side. Just before the three month winter break the team went red hot and rocketed up the table for last. Seriously high quality striker was sold for £1M +50% next transfer with a skillful Bosnian replacement being signed for £50K. We also picked up an excellent left winger and new defender so the form continued through the rest of the season. Just about scraped up to 4th in a very tight mid table, 1st and 2nd were well clear, 10th was way behind, everyone else was in the mix 11 points from 3rd to 9th.

2008/09 - Predicted 7th/10 - Average Attendance 1787

Slovenian Cup - Semi Final 4-5 agg. vs Publikum
Slovenian 1st Division - 3rd (Euro Vase) 62 points w16-d14-l6
Euro Vase - 3rd Round 3-4 agg. vs Reading

Awards - 2nd in Slovenian Manager of the Year
Fan Favourite - Mega-fast striking legend again
European Ranking - 307th
Stadium Expansion - 464 to 2264 (Reduced to 1476 for 5 months)

Euro Vase 1st Round vs Rijeka (Croatia) Home 5-0, Away 0-0 (5-0 agg.)
Euro Vase 2nd Round vs Altach (Austria) Home 0-0, Away 3-2 (3-2 agg.)
Euro Vase 3rd Round vs Reading (England) Home 2-2, Away 1-2 (3-4 agg.)

Very good run in Europe, especially since I didn't expect to qualify. I was convinced I would be hammered by Reading but was very respectable in defeat and I made more money from the half the gate receipts from the away match than all gate receipts last season (£200K). The season started off with a lot of draws before I started winning putting myself in good position with around 5 games to go. Loosing in the cup meant the final was contested by two poor teams so only 1st to 3rd would get into Europe. In good form and quite favourable draws I was winning out and in 1st place in the league 2-0 up in the last game before two 90th minute goals, finished 2-2 I drop to 3rd, damn this tight division.

I mostly loaded my normal ones which includes a league from every continent and a few big European leagues. South Africa, Mexico, Belgium, Croatia, England, France, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Australia and Argentina. Mostly only the top division but when I started the game I didn't know if I wanted to go for Belgium, Croatia or Slovenia.

2009/10 - Predicted 5th/10 - Average Attendance 2386

Slovenian Cup - Semi Final 1-2 agg. vs Aluminij
Slovenian 1st Division - Champions (Champions Cup) 67 points w20-d7-l9
Euro Vase - 3rd Round 2-3 agg. vs FC Twente

Awards - Slovenian Manager of the Year
2nd in Slovenian Player of the Year - Skillful DM
Fan Favourite - 3rd Time in a row mega-fast striker I like him too
European Ranking - 307th still
Stadium Expansion - 885 to 3149 (Reduced to 2061 for 6 months)

Euro Vase 1st Round vs Zalgiris (Lithuania) Home 4-0, Away 3-0 (7-0 agg.)
Euro Vase 2nd Round vs Servette FC (Switzerland) Home 5-0, Away 1-0 (6-0 agg.)
Euro Vase 3rd Round vs FC Twente (Netherlands) Home 0-1, Away 2-2 (2-3 agg.)

Another solid European campaign, I thought the Swiss would be more trouble and the boys did well to come back from 2-0 down in Enschede but not quite enough. Yet again the season started slowly but the team turned up the heat and never let slip afterwards. A lot of spanish interest for my best defender at Christmas but with new Hungarian centre midfielder signing scoring 5 in his first 9 games I was unstoppable.

20010/11 - Predicted 1st/10 - Average Attendance 2933

Slovenian Cup - Champions 1-0 vs Maribor
Slovenian 1st Division - Champions (Champions Cup) 66 points w18-d12-l6
Champions Cup - 3rd Qualifying Round 3-4 agg. vs Real Betis
Euro Cup - 5th Group Stage w1-d0-l3

Awards - Slovenian Manager of the Year
Fan Favourite - Mega-fast striker once more, only 24 already a club legend
European Ranking - 321st Meaningless number

Champions Cup 2nd Qualifying Round vs Sint-Truiden (Belgium) Home 2-1, Away 1-1 (3-2 agg.)
Champions Cup 3rd Qualifying Round vs Real Betis (Spain) Home 2-1, Away 1-3 (3-4 agg.)
Euro Cup 1st Round vs Zaragoza (Spain) Home 0-1, Away 2-0 (2-1 agg.)
Euro Cup Group F vs Besiktas (Turkey) Home 0-2
Euro Cup Group F vs Dortmund (Germany) Away 0-1
Euro Cup Group F vs Shakhtar (Ukraine) Home 4-0
Euro Cup Group F vs Sampdoria (Italy) Away 0-2

I was shocked that I beat Betis at home, every single one of their players is payed more than my entire team (£13K p/w) but their class showed in Spain. Fantastic performance by mega-fast striker against Zaragoza gets me into group stages and very rich. My Bosnian striker turned in a 10 in an exemplary performance against Shakhtar but a red card after 20 minutes against Sampdoria dumped me out of the competition. A tough long season lingering around 2nd place until Europe was done with, I was unable to get any real advantage though and won by 1 point over Gorica. Lost two key players at Christmas for £1.5M and hefty next transfer percentages with replacements of similar quality costing £150K from the cheap shopping grounds of eastern Europe.

20011/12 - Predicted 1st/10 - Average Attendance 3519

Slovenian Cup - 3rd Round 0-1 vs Publikum
Slovenian 1st Division - Champions (Champions Cup) 83 points w26-d5-l5
Champions Cup - 3rd Qualifying Round 3-4 agg. vs Shakhtar
Euro Cup - 1st Knockout 5-5a agg. vs Lyon

Awards - Slovenian Manager of the Year
Slovenian Player of the Year - Classy left winger
Fan Favourite - 5 in a row for legendary mega-fast striker
European Ranking - 216th up 105 places
Stadium Expansion - 1574 to 4723 (Reduced to 2835 for 6 months)

Champions Cup 2nd Qualifying Round vs HJK (Finland) Home 5-0, Away 4-1 (9-1 agg.)
Champions Cup 3rd Qualifying Round vs Shakhtar (Ukraine) Home 1-0, Away 2-4 (3-4 agg.)
Euro Cup 1st Round vs FCU Poli (Romania) Home 4-2, Away 0-0 (4-2 agg.)
Euro Cup Group H 2nd (Qualified) w2-d1-l1
Euro Cup Group H vs Spartak Moscow (Russia) Home 2-0
Euro Cup Group H vs Tottenham (England) Away 2-5
Euro Cup Group H vs Stuttgart (Germany) Home 1-1
Euro Cup Group H vs Galatasaray (Turkey) Away 2-0
Euro Cup 1st Knockout vs Lyon (France) Home 3-3, Away 2-2 (5-5a agg.)

We coasted past HJK and a good win at home left a showdown in Ukraine, Went 2-1 up in first half qualification looking certain before a red card and constant highlights, 90th minute they bag the 4th killer goal. I am not happy. A comfortable win over Spartak, high scoring fun in England and a tough 1-1 draw with the Germans left me needing to do no worse than lose by one goal to Galatasaray, I was very nervous before this game but I shouldn't have been with a nice win despite their pressure to finish 2nd in the group. The Fairytale looked to be over when I drew Lyon but a great match in the snow with a lovely orange ball at home gave me some hope and the boys performed in Lyon but not quite enough after the match the FA were silent over one their goals being offside, always the big teams... excellent European campaign though. Not much to say about the domestic competition, I was dominant finishing 22 points clear although most my players want to leave and I sold my best player, striker from the academy, for £5M to CSKA Sofia.

To be honest I think the jokes in this thread have slipped to the lowest level possible.

I was content with Quacky and Kriss', but "Mallard bloke". Good God Avstwentyone, your standards have slipped
