Reformed LLMer here - have used the GPG forum in the past (never in a tipping/assistance sense though) but have seen the error of my ways. Version is 7.0.2, all of England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland loaded on a normal database. Not the greatest computer in the world obviously.

Season 2006/07 - Lancaster City - Conference North / Bishop's Stortford - Conference South
A meeting with Frank sends me to the light blue of Lancaster City, where the board and the fans are expecting a safe midtable finish, and the media predict the fringes of the top ten. To put it simply, we were rubbish. A few signings, particularly up front, looked handy initially, but we never got above 15th and with ten games to go I was given my marching orders with the team sitting in the relegation places and generally playing like a bunch of window lickers.
It wasn't long before Bishop's Stortford offered me a job on the Conference South, but I could see why the position was vacant. I was given six games to avoid relegation and seven points adrift, while dealing with a wage bill that was 25 times (!) what was advised. Things started promisingly with a draw and a win, but results down the sticky end of the table didn't go the team's way and we were relegated with a game to go. Unemployed again. Lancaster survived.
Season 2007/08 - Stenhousemuir - Scottish 3rd Division
I picked up the job at Ochilview Park in the bottom division in Scotland at the end of May, which I liked for two reasons: a shorter season, and no relegation. The squad had some promise, particularly a teenage striker, but also a lot of rubbish, although financially we were in the black. I started the culling early, releasing 12 players within my first week, while bringing in nine over the course of the summer, including a veteran leftback who was lethal from set pieces and the spot. Board wanted midtable and fans wanted midtable, so not too much pressure. Started with two wins, two draws and two losses, which would pretty much reflect a season of inconsistencies which saw us occupy every spot on the table at some point, and eventually slump to 7th, missing the playoffs by 10 points. Cups sucked bum.

Season 2007/08 - Stenhousemuir - Scottish 3rd Division
The board were again happy to aim for midtable, and the media said a similar thing (6th), but I knew I had a squad that could contend with some luck. In the end we got that and then some, even having the luxury of a late-season slump before clinching the division. I spent my entire transfer budget (£8K) on an Irish keeper and he was solid without being spectacular, but nonetheless part of a defence which was at times inpenetrable, regularly keeping opponents without a shot on target, and sometimes even at all. A journeyman striker I picked up last season started to bang them in, a promising right winger promoted from the u19s slotted seamlessly into the first team, while my teenage striker had a host of Championship and Scottish Div 1 clubs on his tail all season, and is also now legally able to buy alcohol. In our last game of the season, a bunch of our deliriously drunk home fans took great delight in chanting "who the **** are you?" towards the opposition dugout. I thought this was a touch harsh given I'd just delivered them promotion and had only wandered over to shake hands with my Albion Rovers counterpart, but I'll just have to work harder to win them over. Cups sucked bum. Lancaster relegated out of C-S.
