Hello everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster in LLM so apologies for mistakes. Be gentle!
Spoke to agent Frank who sent me to Hyde United of the Conference North.
Season 1 - 2006/07
Large squad but short on quality. Got rid of five, bought in three. Started off resonably well thanks to efforts of young strikeforce and Exotic African Keeper. He then breaks leg - season evaporates. Lost seven of last ten. Always next season.

Season 2 - 2007/08
Shipped out twelve players, some calling themselves 'professionals'. Got in seven, including an Experienced Target Man. Better squad than last year. Crap start (winning only four times before Christmas). Festive miracle happens as Exotic African Keeper returns from injury and keeps a clean sheet - fans go wild. We pick up maximum points in late December / early January. Best Christmas present ever! Young Striker 'B' sold by chairman and promotion challenge ends. In January. We stay up.

Season 3 - 2008/09
Tried a different tact - only two departures and two arrivals. One loan winger even looks better than the player he replaced (my scout's only success?) Postive start and scenes of unbridled joy at Ewen Fields as we win not one but two cup ties in the same season. Midfield Hatchet Man scores third career league goal at age of 34 and we are comfortably mid table. Experienced Target Man and Young Striker 'A' do well before we stutter at the end of the season. Some progress. And no serious injuries!

That's a choice not a chance. Much like he has made the choice to start LLM now and forget GPG et al.
Lee's chance is how he handles himself in his early LLM days. So far so good it appears.
Pleased with last season's progress I only released a single player and brought in two (one from a substantially bigger club). We started off well and hit a great run of form in October/ November. Exotic African Keeper kept five clean sheets in a row and we were in a play off spot!
Alas, things changed. Chairman accepts a bid for Exotic African Keeper during transfer window and he leaves. Replaced by not-so-exotic-and-not-very-good Comedy Keeper. We falter (badly) and finish season in 8th place. Disappointing to miss play offs during last two weeks of season but at this rate of progress Hyde will have a play off next season!

Final Positon: 8th - and optimistic for next season.

I wonder if your not-so-exotic-and-not-so-very-good comedy keeper is related to the clown goaltender that popped up in another update (if i could only remember which one...).
what is it about keepers? why do they have this urge to run forward? to juggle balls instead of hugging them to their chests? why do they enjoy seeing the ball run under their legs?
