The way I would do it would be to pinpoint a player who plays well against me and then monitoring their progress over a month or so, without needing to scout sometimes, becuase I dont want to disturb my scouts. But now Ive realised this one is a bit stoopid, because its impractical on quite a lot of levels, ill probably just scout them.

I have a germ of an idea.

What if you had a scouting budget, which would be charged at a daily rate when your scout(s)were on a mission.

If you undertook a scouting trip it would be charged at a higher rate.

You'd be faced with the interesting proposition of not being able to scout if you mismanaged it and would certainly have to think about going yourself.

I've often signed players and staff from former clubs... that were actually any good!

I've never watched another team's game other than watching other human matches in clan games when I don't have a fixture, to save me sitting there twiddling my thumbs. Watching an AI fixture is not against llama ethics per se, but you can't take advantage of doing so, you would need to do it realistically.
