Default Sending scouts to far off countries?

I started off my career with Paris FC, and now in my 9th season I have be hired by Bayern Leverkusen. Now before this I was just sending my scouts to scout France as that is all I could do. But now at Leverkusen I am able to send my scouts all round the globe.

So my question is this, is it realistic for me to send my German scout to Nigeria when he has no knowledge of the country at all? Should I get a Nigerian to scout Nigeria and leave my German in Germany? What does everyone else do when they get to this stage?

Sorry if it sounds like a stupid question but it doesn't look like the AI managers on my game send there scouts that far away from home, so I'm questioning whether I should or not.

Since you have the money at a big club to send them anywhere in the world then you can do so. Its quicker if the scout has knowledge of a country beforehand but its not exactly practical to find a scout for every occasion.

I'd send them where you want. If you think about it in real life - a Nigerian scout working for Leverkeusen would have to speak some German, right? Or if a German scout went over there to check out new talent, he'd also have to pick up the language.

I figure that if a club has that much cash and allows you to send your scouts far and away, then you should do so in whatever manner you see fit.

Aside of the huge mistake, it's fine.

A single character can make a lot of a difference, for example between XX and XY.
