I'm struggling along with 'no-money' Lanacaster when I notice a player on a free with good stats and I think 'Wow he's a great deal!' and sign him. His name is *blah*, a DM who also plays at CB. I'm revelling in my own 'delboy-ness' when all of a sudden i realise he's a penalty giving machine! 8 games into his career with Lancaster and he's already chosen to give the opposition 6(SIX!!!) pens and collect two red cards and two yellows!
Just wanted to rant about my frustration really. I feel as if he conned me into signing him with his nice-looking stats, the git.

I never manage in England and rarely in Europe so I'm relatively uninfected by this.

It does beg the question why isn't there a bad player forum?
I could certainly Brody in such a forum, probably in my current season alone

I signed a lumbering, old, but quite competent DC recently and he was similar to your chap - collecting Red Cards ahoy, usually by violent conduct, not just picking up unlucky reds or 2 yellows.

So, I discplined him for dismissal in prior match using the interaction screen and fined him 2 weeks (In my mind, I am the Hairdryer!)

Anyway, he responds by apologising and promises to rectify his ways. Few games later and so far, so good. Will be keeping an eye on him as it'll be interesting to say whether or not it'll make any difference in the long term.

I signed a young keeper. Scout said I must get him, assistant said do anything to sign this player.

I signed him spending my whole transfer budget.. he played 3 games, conceded 8 and is now "living it up" with the no namer reserves. Bad signings happen.

My tip.. or perhaps common sense. If a player is doing more harm than good leave him out.

Tell me about it. I signed a keeper on my scouts recommendation, on the basis he was twice the player of my current best keeper.

Needless to say he couldn't stop shots to save his life. I did try to suggest to the Northern Irish FA that we should put a bell in the ball so my keeper knew it was coming.

Needless to say, he lasted until his contract expired (as he wouldn't let me release him without compensation), and my other keeper who was supposedly inferior is still 1st choice, and actually quite useful.

Much like Bigs, I'd say bad signings happen.
