Blyth Spartans - 2012-13 League 2

Media Prediction: 24th
Finished: 14th

Players In: 9 for 72k
Players Out: 10 for 15k

Poor form early on saw us seemingly live up to expectations of relegation. Thankfully about half the league also suffered from the same affliction which allowed us sneak into a safe mid-table position with a good number of games to spare.

The team has also taken on a island feel with 6 players on the books international representatives for various Caribbean nations. (All signed from UK based clubs – we can now scout the whole region.)

Onwards and upwards? Sideways? Downwards?

FA Cup : 2nd Round vs. Scunthorpe. Winners: Chelsea

League Cup : 1st Round vs. Tranmere. Winners: Wigan (retained)

Johnstone’s Paint Tin : 1st Round North vs. Doncaster. Winners: Hartlepool

League 2

Champions: Brentford
Promoted: Oldham, Rushden, Accrington

Relegated: Hereford, Gillingham

Premiership

Champions: Arsenal (retained x6)

Relegated: Preston, Leicester, Man Utd (HA! A certain Portuguese winger now wants a new challenge. Getting your team out of the Championship would be a new challenge, I would think. )

Europe

UCL: Barcelona (retained)

UEFA Cup: Tottenham

We’ll be really pushing for promotion next season and have already signed two new, very talented strikers to that effect (one of whom broke his foot ONE DAY AFTER AGREEING TO TERMS, git ). Mad
what does "git" mean?

Git is a British term: used when somebody is a bit of a pain or annoyance. A milder form of bastard or bugger.

Man U? When I read that my heart was filled with joy as my Everton blood ´run thru my body. Sometimes life is soooo sweet.

Blyth Spartans - 2013-14 League 2

Media Prediction: 21st
Finished: 20th

Players In: 8 for 72k (same amount as last year, weird.)
Players Out: 8 for 10k

A rather dull season which neither saw us challenging for promotion or fighting against relegation. None of the players or the squad as a whole showed any consistency with the exception of the last ten or so games of the season when we were consistently rubbish.

The biggest highlight was being offered the New Zealand position – I accepted.

FA Cup : 2nd Round vs. Swindon. Winners: Tottenham

League Cup : 1st Round vs. Leeds. Winners: Man City

Johnstone’s Paint Tin : 1st Round North vs. Grimsby. Winners: Sheffield Wednesday

League 2

Champions: Chesterfield
Promoted: Darlington, Exeter, Huddersfield

Relegated: Barnet, Blackpool

Premiership

Champions: Arsenal (retained x7)

Relegated: Charlton, Middlesborough, Bolton

Europe

UCL: Liverpool

UEFA Cup: Cardiff
