If, when you are reading your news, you get messages saying "Bla Bla is reportedly trying to sign Bla Bla Bla" does that mean that I then know of him and I could sign him or would I still need my scout to reveal him?

Signing a player without checking him out first is a fools game. Just remember the tale of a former Southampton, Rangers, Newcastle & Liverpool manager, myself & a number of other posters have mentioned him before.

BluMoon, considering in the last thread I read, you substituted "no" for "know" I hardly think you should be criticizing the spelling and/or typing errors of others.


gavrenwick, it's perfectly acceptable for you to identify targets that are mentioned in the media. You wouldn't know, however, if you actually want to sign him without having scouted or trialled him, I would imagine. But yes, players you see stories about are just fine to chase after.
