It's a special move, as is dogging. Unfortunately an ex Liverpool striker retired before FM introduced them.

Time for that second difficult season, the board said avoid the drop again. So off we went to market. 450k ish later and we had a 22yo portuguese striker an Italian LB an English midfielder and an out of favor unhappy ex Newcastle and Hibs Scottish DC (Not as good as his brother) who would become captain.
Just above the drop at christmas we dipped in and out of danger before a late end of season charge saw us climb to 14th with the board and fans happy it seemed like a good season. Top scorer put away 33 goals and clamed golden boot and player of the season :cool:. It was looking like the back four needed beefing up...there goes next years budget. Cash flow was a worry new signings cost money and the board were willing to fund it. Trouble was we weren't pulling in the punters to balance the books even though they were up on average by 1000. Though still well in the black the board seen keen to spend and want me to invest in players in the coming season .

England
After winning a big cup comes that all important 'thanks for the ride but now i want to devote more time to the family speech.' Didn't get a chance to make it, lost 2 and drew 1 and made a midfield scouser quit international football by leaving him out of the squad :eek:. The FA felt a fresh approach was needed and I was going off so i packed my bags and stole the stapler on the way out.

Roll on next season and a shorter break between updates :thup:.

League
Why do they Heep moving the goal posts :cool: a MC and 2 young tallents. Also played a number of young reserves and youth players. Job done, highest league finnish, and good (imho) club development. But Nooo the board at the end of the season are dissapionted with my league proformence. I mean it's not like we have a meeting to discuss any issues, how was I to know. Ahh well always next year.
Had issues with players brought for big money (in Div1 terms) getting the hump and not resigning. Top striker and ML not signed and the league is about to start .

Cups
They suck arse as ever, Lost 1st round in both league and FA cup, and even the Johnstones paint trophy saw a 1st round exit. I wouldn't mind but it wasn't as though i as putting out the pre-school.

Currently board are delighted 2 games into the new season wanting safe mid table (remember that). Lets just see if the money spent brings the success the board want.

International
A few games before the world cup and news of my Non plus international managment hit the shores of the U.S of A. Itook the job (my family had seen enough of me). Once Qualification was secured with wins over El Salvador and Honduras and we held Germany to 1-0 :cool: in a friendly is was off to spain for the World Cup.
The highlight in rather dull cup was our 3-1 win over The Czech Republic :eek:. finished 3rd in group loosing 2-1 to Portugal and drawing 1-1 with Nigeria. The final was won by Sweeden, and who says FM isn't realistic .
