The main part of LLM is realism..."as realistic as the game allows".
After long and protracted discussions, lasting a couple of years, it was generally accepted that players would be found by scouts.
Obvious exceptions would be players mentioned in the media (which would be scouted), players offered by another team (which would be scouted), and players who did well against your team (which would, again, be scouted).
These are guidelines happily adopted by the zealots.
Still LLM, but frowned on so hard by the zealots that their buttocks sometimes are pulled halfway up their backs, is the transfer screen.
Bottom (sic) line is that it's not anti-LLM to use the transfer screen with scouting assistance (
always scouts) but it's looked upon as the easy way out and that's not how LLM's meant to be.
