Xbox Live play - up to 16 player Xbox Live play, with 8 player leagues and 16 player cup competitions, including the ability to export your team from any time in the full manager mode for use online.
I was wondering... Something like this for PC would also be good. I would love to see how my current teams fairs against some one elses team.
i was thinking about that yesterday, i think it would be brilliant playing against others on here with your team against theres. a mini league could be run to find out who has the best team, tactics etc, but you would have to do it so its similar teams, as there would be no point a div 2 team playing chelsea
Hopefully this Information Super Highway Webosphere thing that I keep hearing people talking about will be enough like Xbox Live to allow people to connect their computers together to play against one another.
I guess you folks know more about the back end than I do.. But to me-
You have one team loaded with one computers' save game, and another team loaded with another computers' save game. You have a match engine on the hosting computer.
ComputerA says "Hi" to ComputerB.
ComputerB says "Awlrite, mate. How's it going?" to ComputerB.
ComputerA says "Not bad. Boss says he wants to play [garbled mass of digits that amounts to a team, its players and all their date] against a team of your choice. Up for it?" to ComputerB.
ComputerB says "WTF! You got Gascoigne for Liverpool? We're going to play [garbled mass of digits #2]" to ComputerA.
Game is processed just like any other game that takes place between two human teams in a normal network game. Gascoigne scores 2, cries when he misses a penalty and is stretchered off in the 3rd minute after suffering a heart failure.

so you can boot up 00/01 and start a game against your mates on the other side of the world
What Im wondering about is the whole 'export team' being possible/practical in FM PC/Mac..
Well, I reckon it would be just as feasable on a PC as it would on a Xbox. I recently had a friend get the game, and I was looking through the network options, and I was suprised to find the only thing we could do was start a completely new game.
I would have though it would be alot easier to just take the 2 teams, and play a game with them, choose what level (highlights, full etc), maybe random or specific conditions, location, and then have the match engine play it out, that it would be to have a completely full game.

So [in theory] everyone could be chelsea, with a different set of players
If everyone was Chelsea the league table would look a bit confusing! Would their be any way to see which Chelsea was which, without clicking on each one to see who the manager is?
