With all of the talk of the negatives of 08, I am enjoying the challenge of the game. I always start with a lower league team and work my way up. I have yet to find a version of the game that I was not able to work my way up to the top league pretty quickly, usually gaining promotion on the majority of years. In this game, I am getting my butt kicked after being promoted from League 2 in Spain. While I don't like losing and not having transfer money, I am relishing the challenge of succeeding!
As an addendum to this post, I will say that it is near impossible to loan out or sell players in this version. Of course maybe that's because I am trying to get rid of the dead weight! I have also noticed that I have players who are valued at $60,000 and I can only get interest in them for about $1,000-$2,000! Never anywhere near their value. So what's the point of valuation?
Tes, the community for the larger part seems to take issue every year with not being able to get a lot of monety for players they regard as crap themselves.
Definitely more realistic that previous version. Enjoying a bit more of a challenge and not being able to pick up Bosman players and sell them on so quickly like before.

Thats not true- in recent years people have had issues with selling players at all.
In FM08 this has improved- although the same old transfer issues still remain.
