Default Is there any point watching the Cup Draws?

As a test (since I inadvertently closed FM whilst hashing up just now) I decided to see if the FA Cup 6th round draw would come out the same a third time.

I'd have let it go, but I got Man U and Everton got Bolton in the draw before crashing as well as when I restarted.

So when I saved the game off with that draw, since fair is fair and I want ther Bluenoses in the final for posterity, I reloaded the game and watched the draw again.

Same draw? 9 times running? Is it 'cos the game was saved right before it as part of it's monthly save? Or are they drawn in advance of us watching them?

Any thoughts? Experiences?

They are all random at time of the draw to my experience. It makes the game more "realistic" as many are crying out loud for.

Yeah, I assume it was the time of save that affected it, as I'd somehow clicked into the draw screen.

Every time I went through the draw it stayed as before.

Interesting, that probably means that as soon as you press the draw button, the draw is made. Oh well, I enjoy the suspense though, I always make a note to write down the teams I want to get and the teams I want to avoid to add to this suspense.

It's been like this for ages.
If you save after the news item appears the draw will always be the same. I think the draw happens in the 'processing' before the news item turns up. So, if you save a day or 2 before the draw it should be different each time you load it.

As a struggling L2 manager the 3rd round draw of the FA Cup is pretty much the highlight of my season.

What completely p***** me off is that I always get the matches to line up perfectly agianst whom I'm playing in the league if they're still in the competition.

So imagine the cup game, to be played in a month, comes after (or before) the game against TEAM X. Who do I get in the cup?

TEAM X, of course...
