8.01 Patch not installing?

After installing the 8.01 patch, there is nothing to indicate FM is updated on the main screen. And the preferences menu only shows version 1.

If I start a new game, I have the option to use the 8.01 database. Is the database the only update for FM 08? Isn't there something else on one of the menu screens to show the patch was installed? What am I missing?

Hi steady teddy.

I have just d/loaded the patch and then i clicked on run and now when i start the game it says 8.01, so that means it has loaded.

Does it say 8.01 on the main screen when you first load the game?
