Hello people.
I have a group of pointless questions that have no relevence to the game but that I kinda want to know the answers to:
Pointless Question #3: Son as a player?
I remember that some people said that your son (or at least a player with your surname) could appear later on it the game.
Does this happen - if so, when?
Also does the player have good stats/become a good coach or manger?

This can happen, but doesn't mean it will. Also, pretty hard to tell if it is your son unless you have a stand-out surname. ie. Smith could be anyone. As for when it happens, well it must be pretty random. Let's assume at the very least you have to be 32 years old. 40 years old would be a little more accurate.

You could have a son appear through the academy of your club in FM07, I see no reason that they would take it out.
He is a typical youth player, so chances are he is rubbish. Has your last name and has you listed at the start as favourite personnel.

You can tell it's your son because they come through your teams youth acadamy, have your surname and have you as their favoured personnel.
It is however very rare for this to happen and is one of things I've been hoping to see since FM07 was released but still haven't seen  | |

i read this and soon after i have continud my game.....
ive never even heard of having a son in the game, but hey presto, my youth come through and in my U18s for man utd is a 15 year old striker with me as favoured personnel, and his name is theo bowditch

quite a cool feature, first time ive seen it, hes now U18 captain for utd, being mentored by rooney, and im sure with me in charge hell get a few games too......

I had a son in FM07, I've not seen it happen yet in FM08...
