Well, I will seem very ignorant here anyway. I've tried to understand how you get backgrounds and logos etc to be loaded into the game but i can't seem to do it.

I put the files that i've downloaded into my football manager file in my documents and put them all in 'skins' just as they came (which is what i assumed i had to do'.

I loaded them up into the game by going to preferences and selecting 'use skin cache' and ticking the 'always reload' box thingy also. They were loading, well something was loading, and i was away. But NOTHING CHANGED. NOTHING.

Where are the new backgrounds and logos?

I'm sure a mod or even just a joe bloggs will be able to correct my mistake here.

Can you confirm the EXACT locations of your pictures/logos you downloaded and installed?

Also the location of the Skins? Do you get the option to select the skins you have installed?

Ok, give me a sec...

...they are in - CDocuments and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\skins - obviously followed by file name.

And no I never got any sort of option to choose what skins to have.

and i put the logos and background files in 'skins' too. Is this correct, or should i create a separate folder for these?

Sorry about this, I've not dabbled with the skin options before coming across this forum.

Ok:

Skins go in:

CDocuments and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\skins

Pictures/logos go in:

CDocuments and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\graphics\pictures

Run FM2007 and go into preferences and turn off the skin cache. Then go into the drop down list of skins and you should see a list of your newly installed skins.

Choose 1 and click "Confirm". Afte the new skin has loaded up select Skin Cache and then "Confirm" again and you should see all your new pictures/logos.

Under the:

CDocuments and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\Graphics\pictures

You should have further folders like:

logos
kits
players
backgrounds

Depending on what you have downloaded.

Follow the setup of your install directory to see the structure:

CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\data\graphics\pictures
